2D Game Platformer in Unity 2021.3.0f1
Note: We used Windows 10 Pro for the best version to load and run Unity Software and UI.
Sure. TileVania. Best example to help teach people to create a 2D game platformer. Fishy's adaptation of his custom level is much more different than what I expected on at YouTube. GameDev's Website has a full explaination pack shows a true and much needed thorough explaination under their Unity course. There, you can see that they have lectures on TileVania.
However, Fishy didn't need video tutorials! He already has garned enough skill on Unity to create his own. I will also share my first experience with building the game. Long time ago and some of the components were missing. Fishy will supply a version of assets that you can use via Github.
In this version of 2D creation, you will be focusing more on using C# and Tilemaps. You will be brushing through a game palette to create your level and objects. Other components include Rigidbody 2D and Capsule Collider 2D. Down below is an outlook of the C# code. In the end, you will be learning some coding and eventually, you will be finding it fun while having a few road-blocks to your game.
Due to the magnitude of the game's work and setup. Fishy will not provide a full-length tutorial on this website. My student learners are using a instruction
booklet to help them on their journey to building on what it is, a 2D game. I still find it the best method to teach those how to start up a simple 2D Game and
have a little bit of fun around it. I still get the feeling when I teach others about this, and it's still my favorite. They actively learn on this one!
And here is an example of my TileVania level creation!
